The Pro Series mSATA 3Gbits/sec SSD uses the SandForce® SF-2141 SSD processor to attain sequential read and write speeds up to 260 and 250 MB/sec respectively, and up to 30,000 4KB random write IOPS. Despite its diminutive size, the Pro Series comes equipped with advanced features including AES data encryption, native TRIM support, BCH ECC, wear leveling, bad block management, NCQ support, and support for SMART commands, providing best-in-class reliability and data security. Pro Series mSATA SSDs are offered in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities.
The Smart Series mSATA 3Gbits/sec SSD is designed to provide balanced features, performance and cost in a value SSD. It includes key features like BCH ECC, wear leveling, bad block management and support for SMART commands. It supports sequential read and write speeds up to 100 and 60 MB/sec respectively, and is offered in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities.
Both these two new mSATA SSD models are JEDEC (MO-300B) compliant and have industry standard 50.8 x 29.85 x 4.0 mm dimensions and weigh about eight grams. Both models support 0° to 70° C operating temperature ranges. Pro Series and Smart Series mSATA SSDs are shipping now.
