It attracts professionals from industry, academia, and national laboratories in semiconductor processing; interconnect design, and equipment development. The traditional U.S. venue is now one of three international locations for this important technology conference, which rotates among them annually.

This year’s agenda features keynote presentations by Mike Mayberry, Vice President of Research, Intel Corp. and Bill Dally, Chief Scientist, nVIDIA who will open the conference on Monday morning. Invited speakers include Subu Iyer (IBM Fellow responsible for 3D), Michael van Buskirk (CTO of Adesto, former CTO of Spansion), Dan Edelstein (IBM Fellow responsible for BEOL), Axel Preusse (Fellow at GLOBALFOUNDRIES), Jean Marc-Yannou (Analyst focusing on 3D at Yole Development) and many others.

The content-rich 3-day agenda is divided into 14 sessions, including the Plenary and two Poster Sessions, that focus on such growth areas as Fine Grain 3D ICs, Contacts and Local Interconnects, Interconnects for Biological Applications, Networks-on-Chip, and Circuits for High-Speed and Low-Power Signaling. The detailed Technical Program including the poster sessions is now available for download at http://www.his.com/~iitc/techprogram.html.

Short Course
IITC 2012 will be preceded by a day-long Short Course on interconnect technologies on Sunday, June 3rd. The Short Course a unique venue for learning and professional interaction. It will address advanced interconnect process, design and reliability issues. Attendees benefit from a combination of tutorials on interconnect fundamentals, briefings on the latest interconnect technology advances, and direct interaction with experts actively working in the field. This year’s agenda features:
