The PRIME simulation provides real value to the Air Force
Austin, TX (PRWEB) May 01, 2012
Intific, Inc. has been awarded a contract by the United States Air Force (USAF) Air Education Training Command to add capability to Intific’s Predator/Reaper simulation to support crew training operations. This one year contract with an option period has a potential value of $3.9 million if all options are exercised. Under this contract, Intific will provide functionality and performance upgrades to the Predator/Reaper Integrated Mission Environment (PRIME) simulation system to keep the system up to date with MQ-9 aircraft modifications and add new student assessment tools.
Carl C. Norman, Program Director at Intific, said, “The PRIME simulation provides real value to the Air Force by delivering a high fidelity training environment for air crews that can be deployed on a personal computer network rather than relying on full mission simulators or real aircraft. This enables the Air Force to train more crews at a much lower cost than with competing systems.”
Intific has supported the USAF for the past decade. The company will leverage its experience and in-depth knowledge of aircraft simulators gained during development of previous versions of the Predator/Reaper simulation as well as the Air Force’s A-10C Desk Top System simulation to bring exceptional realism and training value to the remotely piloted aircraft community.
Intific’s core competency is the development and delivery of game-based immersive and educational software. Intific’s products typically combine high fidelity emulation software with commodity mobile and desktop computer systems to deliver highly effective, scalable, cost effective solutions for training, man-in-the-loop virtual testing, virtual test beds for system of systems evaluation and design, and neuroscience research and development.
