The opportunity to help lead this agency—an unmatchable shop in terms of culture, creativity and chemistry with clients—was too good to pass up; this is a truly remarkable agency.

Bailey Lauerman has recruited advertising industry leader Andy Fletcher as chief executive officer. Fletcher, who has more than 25 years’ experience building and leading top agencies, will help position Bailey Lauerman for anticipated growth.
“Bailey Lauerman’s reputation is built on provocative and effective campaigns,” said Jim Lauerman, chairman and agency co-founder. “Adding Andy reinforces our agency’s ability to attract and retain top talent and brands. He’ll help create a structure that allows us to increase our size without sacrificing the culture and creative work that makes us uniquely Bailey Lauerman.”
Most recently, Fletcher led marketing and communications at his alma mater, the University of Florida. Prior to that, he served as president of Barkley in Kansas City before moving to Atlanta where he led the transformation of Fletcher Martin. He oversaw Fletcher Martin’s sale in 2000 to Toronto-based MDC Partners and remained CEO until 2010. MDC Partners is the same holding company with nationally recognized agencies including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, kirshenbaum bond senecal + partners and mono.
Throughout his career, Fletcher has helped build some of America’s best known brands including Arby’s, Helzberg Diamonds, General Electric, Sonic Drive-Ins, Garmin, Learjet and more.
“When I left Fletcher Martin two years ago, I didn’t have plans to re-enter agency life,” said Fletcher. “I have respected Bailey Lauerman’s work and people for several years. The opportunity to help lead this agency—an unmatchable shop in terms of culture, creativity and chemistry with clients—was too good to pass up; this is a truly remarkable agency.”
The addition of Fletcher poises Bailey Lauerman for even greater success in coming years. Most recently the agency earned national notoriety including a top-ten ranking in the Effie Effectiveness Index among independently held agencies as well as multiple Effie, Creative Media and ADDY awards.
“Our agency is growing at a fever pitch,” said Carter Weitz, president and chief creative officer. “We are coming off two of the best years we’ve ever seen. We are anticipating tremendous growth for our clients and our company. Andy’s expertise is coming at the perfect time.”
