Data is growing at 50 per cent per annum, risk and compliance is driving change and regulatory reporting has become a must have.
Southampton, Hampshire (PRWEB UK) 1 May 2012
Granger Smith Consulting (GSC), one of the world’s emerging business intelligence companies, has opened a new office in New York.
The expansion launches an international presence for the company, with the US office taking a central role alongside current bases in London and Southampton.
“A presence in New York reinforces our commitment to our global clients and the vast opportunity we see there, enabling us to better serve companies across the continent,” said Simon Smith, GSC's Founder and CEO.
GSC provides business and technology services to leading investment banks, insurance and wealth managers. It recently formed a London Market insurance team of business intelligence consultants that delivers powerful business analytics and interactive data visualization to help clients solve some of their most challenging business problems.
“Our strong and steady growth and our expanding global footprint are a real tribute to the talent of our people. Even in these uncertain times, our team has an exceptional ability to work together with our clients to generate great value,” said Simon.
GSC posted a double-digit gain in worldwide revenues in 2011, up 65 percent over the previous year. At the same time, the company increased its global consulting staff by almost 40% percent.
“While the global economy remains volatile,” Simon continued, “it offers enormous opportunities for companies willing to make bold moves and moving away from the Big 4. By partnering with our clients and enabling their organisations, we are helping them to realise these opportunities, address their most critical challenges and build sustainable competitive advantage."
In addition, GSC is broadening and deepening its specialist capabilities. Last year, the team added risk and compliance to their service offering and expanded business intelligence to cover data management, data quality and data warehousing for all major business intelligence vendors, ensuring independence when researching for the right tools for clients.
Simon added, “We have remained consistently strong in managing data for financial institutions. Data is growing at 50 per cent per annum, risk and compliance is driving change and regulatory reporting has become a must have. Making decisions in a timely manner allows business users to take the right decision on the right data."
