Pronto Post, South Florida’s largest direct marketing and product Fulfillment Company, has recently been focusing its sales and marketing efforts on expanding its product fulfillment side of the business, but financial records show that the lion’s share of its current revenue is derived from direct mail fulfillment. Pronto has over thirty years’ experience in the South Florida market and has built its reputation as a direct mail fulfillment leader.

Management at Pronto recognizes the dramatic changes that have affected the print and mail industries and has reacted to these changes by shifting its focus more toward product fulfillment. The last ten years have seen incredible growth and innovation in digital media and that trend is sure to continue. The printing and mailing industries have declined dramatically as media channels like email, tablets, smart phones, notebook computers and other on-line alternatives are replacing traditional print and mail marketing.

“Print is not dead, nor will it disappear altogether,” said Pronto’s General Manager Andrew Diamond. “But the growth of digital channels and inbound marketing has forever altered the direct marketing playing field. Direct mail fulfillment is still the bread and butter of Pronto Post, but at the same time that printing and mailing decline, more and more businesses are selling their products on-line. These businesses need to store and distribute their products, and the product fulfillment market is growing.”

Pronto still specializes in direct mail fulfillment, and Diamond believes that direct mail is and will continue to be an important part of a multichannel marketing program. But he sees the changes that have affected the print and mail industries and is shifting Pronto’s focus toward a future of growth in product fulfillment.

Pronto has amassed an extensive and unique array of mailing equipment, including digital printers, inserters and specialized hardware like one of the only high speed poly-bag insert machines in the area. Pronto also has access to an experienced and cross-trained labor pool that can operate the machines and also do large volume special hand fulfillment work.

Pronto Post has a 55,000 square foot temperature controlled facility that will accommodate the growth of its product fulfillment business. They have invested in dedicated order processing and warehouse management software and systems as their product fulfillment customers grow.

Pronto has partners that allow them to ship and receive products internationally. South Florida is a hub of international trade and a leader in imports and exports from the Caribbean and South America. “The international trade community in South Florida is vibrant. There are extensive programs at the local universities, multiple organizations dedicated to promoting international trade, and thousands of businesses and professional specializing in the field,” Diamond said. “We also provide fulfillment services and substantially savings in shipping costs to Canadian companies selling their products in the United States.”

Pronto is also involved in literature fulfillment. Insurance providers use Pronto to assemble kits of literature for their insured and prospects. This business peaks during the Medicare open enrollment season. These insurance providers have multiple versions of kits which include Provider Directories, plan descriptions, applications and a multitude of other material that must be put together and sent out under strict time constraints. There can be unique packages for each county, and each version in both English and Spanish. A single provider can easily have 100 separate documents that need to be assembled in fifteen variations.
