Female recording artist Toni Monroe who recently released the enormously successful “Big Girl Cookies” mixtape with DJ Crazy Toones and has over a million plays and counting on various websites and blogs throughout the online universe.
Former Dr. Dre protégé Lady of Rage -- who is arguably one of the top female emcees of all-time -- told VladTV that white female rapper Toni Monroe was “one of the top 3 female artists”, right alongside Nicki Minaj and Canadian emcee Eternia. Having Monroe in the same company as Nicki Minaj who became the first female solo artist in history to have seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time and Canada’s Juno Award nominee Eternia solidifies Ms. Monroe’s status.
With validations coming in from some of the industry’s most prominent artists like E-40, Kurupt, DJ Quik, Tha Chill of Compton’s Most Wanted, and others, she has quickly stepped to the forefront of hip-hop’s biggest stage. And already Monroe has shared the stage with many of hip-hop’s elite like Lil Kim, Mobb Deep, Nelly, Ja Rule, Ashanti, WC, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Fat Joe.
DJ Crazy Toones, Ice Cube’s long-time official DJ hosted Monroe’s latest project, “Big Girl Cookies: First Batch” to critical acclaim. Industry insides have said or are speculating about an impending record deal between Toni Monroe and Ice Cube through his Lench Mob Records imprint. Monroe stated that she “would jump at the chance to work with [Ice] Cube”, who also has fellow west coast emcee/friend WC on the label according to her interview with popular west coast news outlet Dubcnn. Speculations are being fueled by the close working relationship between Toni Monroe and DJ Crazy Toones.
Toni Monroe, the first prominent Jewish female rapper to emerge in the hip-hop/rap music industry has also been described as “Dolly Parton of Rap” by Lady of Rage. She seems unquestionably destined for greatness, with “Big Girl Cookies: First Batch” being the spring board.
