For more than a decade, this event has provided communities with a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day and raise much needed funds for breast cancer research.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Mother’s Day Classic and make a huge contribution to the spirit of the day. So, people who are keen to participate but do not feel like running or walking can join in the fun and support breast cancer research.
National Breast Cancer Foundation [NBCF] hopes to celebrate 15 years with $15 million raised. This year they are shooting for the stars, and with the help of volunteers are seeking to raise $4.2 million, which would take to $15 million the amount raised for the NBCF. It is a big target, but it is also a big birthday.
