Advantage’s new intelligent “decision-based” Online Counseling System is completely free, 100% secure, confidential, easy to use, and accessible 24/7. This system provides personalized debt relief advice, recommendations, tips, and helpful resource links.

Why choose Advantage’s system over others? Unlike other credit counseling systems that just ask questions but don’t provide any feedback or advice, Advantage’s intelligent and customized credit counseling system is so much more than that. First, the consumer is guided through a simple step-by-step process of creating and understanding their current budget. Next, the system analyzes their complete financial overview and using proprietary software it generates a 20 plus page customized Action Plan (PDF document). This Action Plan contains a detailed budget analysis which includes a breakdown of all monthly income, expenses, assets, liabilities and creditors. Additionally, the Action Plan will also provide personalized debt relief options, tips, suggestions and helpful links.

Once the consumer has received their Action Plan, the system determines if their budget is balanced and if appropriate guides them through the process of creating a proposed scenario by making adjustments or “cut backs” to their current spending habits in order to work towards a fully balanced budget. This new system will then analyze the consumers’ total financial picture and unsecured creditor debt in order to present a recommendation on whether or not a debt management program (DMP) may be an option. If appropriate, the system will provide a comparison of the current creditor payments versus an estimate of what a consumer’s monthly payment would look like on a debt management program. It also compares the total interest saved, total repayment amount and how many months it would take to complete a program.
