Argus 3.0 Adds Enterprise-Class Capability and Significantly Enhances Asset and Personnel Tracking and Security for Healthcare and Industrial Markets

We are very excited to have been selected as the system of choice by the clinical and security staff at these large and highly-sophisticated healthcare networks and to have been approved as a sole source by their senior IT management.

Guard RFID Solutions Inc., an industry leader in 433MHz Active RFID technology for healthcare and industrial applications, has announced the full release of its latest RFID middleware engine – Argus 3.0 – adding numerous customer requested features and introducing three significant enhancements.

Argus 3.0 is now an Enterprise-class Server enabling multiple facilities to be operated as independent segments from a single server while allowing complete autonomy of each segment. The benefits of a centralized server implementation include increased data and system security, simplified system management, standardization across enterprise network and ultimately reduces operating costs. It also provides the ability to administer the system and monitor security events enterprise-wide from a centralized location. GuardRFID’s current customers are now able to implement solutions, such as its industry-leading TotGuard Infant Security system, within multiple independent units or multiple buildings within a facility and support numerous disparate facilities system-wide.

Support for the new GuardRFID Staff Tag enables a variety of features necessary for applications associated with personnel safety, location and credential validation. The company’s new SafeGuard Staff Duress system was developed in tandem with the Staff Tag to take advantage of GuardRFID’s most advanced 433MHz Active RFID technology, which achieves greater location accuracy, reliable alarm transmission and provides the benefit of real-time 2-way communications. The new Staff Tag features user configurable buttons, paging annunciation, duress alarm activation, and cancellation, ”help is on its way” acknowledgement, man-down warning and alarm, hands-free access control, as well as features that enhance user-convenience such as automatic sign-in and sign-out procedures.

Argus 3.0 additionally provides full software integration with industry-leading manufacturers of access control and CCTV video management systems. By expanding these technology partnerships, GuardRFID is continually advancing the ability of its existing and future customers to achieve the full potential of its 433MHz Active RFID technology for advanced security and asset tracking.

Zahir Abji, President and CEO states, “Our TotGuard Infant Security system and underlying Argus middleware have recently undergone exhaustive audits by several major healthcare systems and we have come out on top in every case with respect to being able to deliver an enterprise-class solution and full IT compliance with no compromises. We are very excited to have been selected as the system of choice by the clinical and security staff at these large and highly-sophisticated healthcare networks and to have been approved as a sole source by their senior IT management.”
