Garden City, New York (PRWEB) May 02, 2012
World Wide Security/GC Alarm was recognized for its double-digit growth and business strategies in the March issue of Security Dealer & Integrator Magazine, a leading nationwide trade publication for the physical security industry. The company was invited to share its best practices on how to maintain growth, year-to-year, during tough economic times with the editors of the magazine. The company pointed to its commitment to service, sales expansion, acquisitions and marketing strategy as its top reasons for success. World Wide Security/GC Alarm along with other growing integrators in North America, were recognized in the March 2012 issue and at a special awards ceremony at the ISC West 2012 security industry tradeshow. The SD&I Fast50 Rankings are based on a formula that factors in revenue and percentage growth.
World Wide Security earned a spot on the SD&I Fast50 Ranking because of the company’s 23 percent growth during this period. The company announced its expansion plans into New York City and Westchester County earlier this year as a result of acquiring LSG Security in Riverdale. World Wide Security/GC Alarm serves the entire metropolitan region of New York including all of Long Island. World Wide Security had acquired two other regional companies, Dart Security and Access One, in the first quarter of 2012 and continues to plan additional acquisitions to meet its growth strategies.
“SD&I Fast50 companies are proof positive that innovative companies can grow, even during a recession. They know what their customers need and how to provide the right services to vertical markets,” said Editor Deborah O’Mara. She added that the fastest growing vertical markets were education and healthcare. “In terms of product categories access control and video surveillance were at the top with IT security close behind.” World Wide Security/GC Alarm provide technically advanced security and life safety systems, and are recognized as one of the largest providers of these services to school districts and other industries on Long Island.
The SD&I Fast50 is the first-ever ranking of America’s Fastest Growing Systems Integrators. Awards and educational best practices were given at the panel presentation at ISC West in Las Vegas on March 28 at the ISC Special Events Stage. A large crowd was in attendance for the Fast50 awards presentation to celebrate and learn about these integrators’ growth.
“The security dealer and integrator industry has made enormous strides,” adds O’Mara. “I think the most important piece of advice that can be gleaned is that firms must adapt, create and innovate.”
