Plano, TX (PRWEB) May 08, 2012
Since 1927, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) has celebrated Better Hearing and Speech Month each May to applaud the triumphs of individuals with communication disorders and shine a light on the professionals that assist them.
For the millions of Americans suffering from a communication disorder proper treatment from a qualified professional can eliminate or minimize its impact and drastically improve quality of life. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) uses Better Hearing and Speech month to raise awareness about communication disorders and the tireless work of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP). In order to provide the best patient care, SLPs need to stay abreast of advances in techniques and available technologies. Continuing education provides the opportunity for such learning, but travelling to live continuing education events can often be costly and time consuming.
HomeCEUConnection.com is proud to support Better Hearing and Speech this month with a set of brand-new live, online seminars presented by prominent Speech-Language Pathology professionals, including Denise L. Dougherty, MA, CCC-SLP, MFT, Patricia Ourand, MS, CCC-SLP, and Ann Kulichik, MS, CCC-SLP/I, BRS-S. These continuing education webinars provide Speech-Language Pathologists with an opportunity to progress their learning in a specific topic area of interest, while obtaining continuing education credit to fulfill their state and ASHA requirements, all in the comfort of their own home.
