On Sunday, May 6th, at 9:30am and 11:15am, local church leaders from various faiths will gather at Pioneer Middle School to discuss their similarities, differences, and partnership for good in the city of Tustin. Guests include Brent North, the former Bishop of Tustin Meadows Ward and Father Vincent Gilmore, of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. This event, held by Moment Church, will also allow for audience participation via live texting format.

Because our world has recently observed religious rioting that toppled a nation and intense mockery between supposed political counterparts, the concept of honest, fair, kind, and generous discussion is to be applauded.

Although the event has already inspired controversy, many of the Moment Church staff, have coined the gathering, “Friend Day” as the goal is to showcase that even heartfelt political, societal, and religious, differences can and should be applied with preferential love.

It promises to be a stirring reminder that amidst the diverse nature of Orange County, there are common interests and shared goals. This one-day event is part of a greater series held by Moment Church titled, “Cliché” which will discuss how one-line “pat answers” usually aren’t suffice to heal one’s deepest wounds.
