Not only is 14-year-old Roland working as a knight, he’s heir to the legendary Blue Knight. This strong boy who is skilled at learning languages must take on a monumental task: Protecting the kingdom of Doremus and its people, even though he hasn’t finished his training. Balfazore, an evil, power-hungry wizard, forces an unpredictable, 12-foot high dragon named Zunseraya to do his will.

“The Dragon’s Lair” features a classic story of good versus evil that explores the love experienced by families, friends, companions and kingdoms. Roland has help with his duties from a powerful wizard, specially made armor forged from a sword and shield once owned by the Blue Knight, and his staunch friend Francis, acting as his squire. As excitement builds throughout the land for the kingdom’s annual festival and tournament, so too does Balfazore’s ambition. Realistic descriptions of medieval competition enliven this imaginative story. Emotions run high in this compelling tale of action and adventure as Roland dares to fulfill his destiny.
