Deena leads the User Experience (UX) team at Opower, which is responsible for the user experience of the entire suite of Opower products. What gets her out of bed in the morning? The challenge of using persuasive design to motivate, educate, and engage people in a long-term conversation about energy use. Deena has been designing simple, friendly, engaging user experiences for over a decade. She received her Masters of Science in Product Design from Stanford University and her Computer Science degree from Duke University, and has worked for Smart Design, Clif Bar, and Avon Products. She's often seen doodling concepts on post-its, talking to people about Opower, or nagging friends to turn their lights off.
