Axium, a leading developer of accounting and project management software for engineering and architecture firms, has partnered with the Oregon Food Bank to help stop hunger by encouraging volunteer efforts, organizing exciting activities, and matching employee contributions.

“We want our organization to contribute to an amazing cause and have fun while doing so,” said Cathy Mills, President.

Axium holds an annual fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank. Last year a friendly competition fueled more than $12,000 in donations. “We want to get as many people involved as possible,” Mills said.

Oregon Food Bank works with a cooperative, statewide network of partner agencies to distribute emergency food to hungry families. In addition, the organization works to fight hunger's root causes through public policy, outreach and education.

According to the Oregon Food Bank, one in five Oregonians struggles with hunger, and 33 percent of those receiving emergency food are children. Children who are hungry get sick more often and have more trouble learning in school

“With an increase in the amount food needed, our efforts are more important than ever,” Mills said. “I’m truly honored to have employees contribute and be heavily involved in such a meaningful cause.”
