“As premium brands and publishers increasingly embrace the mobile opportunity, it’s imperative that they have a solution to address their specific needs for quality, transparency and control," said James O'Connor, Commercial Director of Medialets EMEA.
New York, NY and London, UK (PRWEB) May 02, 2012
Medialets, the most widely deployed mobile rich media advertising platform and operator of Medialets Private Marketplace, a fully transparent platform that lets advertisers plan, buy, and execute mobile and tablet ads on the world’s top publishers, today announced the official launch of Medialets EMEA Headquarters in London.
James O'Connor, who previously served as Director Customer Development EMEA at Velti, has joined Medialets as Commercial Director of EMEA, and will lead the company's efforts in these markets.
This expansion will allow Medialets—already enabling premium campaigns for international brands, agencies and publishers, including BBC, BSkyB, The Financial Times, Thomson Reuters and Yahoo!—to better serve and grow its international client base.
"The launch of Medialets EMEA is yet another indicator of the rising demand for rich, high-impact mobile advertising worldwide,” said Tim Hussain, Head of Platform Development & Partnerships at BSkyB. "Medialets' EMEA presence will make it that much easier for us to develop our existing partnership and drive greater value from our growing mobile and tablet audiences."
Medialets' international expansion comes at a time when mobile continues to skyrocket. ABI Research projects there will be 6 billion mobile subscribers worldwide in 2012, while Canalys recently reported that, for the first time, mobile devices out-shipped PCs globally in 2011.
“Mobile is, without a doubt, a global opportunity,” said Eric Litman, CEO and founder of Medialets. “Now, with the launch of Medialets EMEA and the addition of James O'Connor as Commercial Director of EMEA, Medialets is better positioned than ever to enable high-performance mobile and tablet rich media campaigns at scale for leading brands, agencies and publishers worldwide."
“As premium brands and publishers increasingly embrace the mobile opportunity, it’s imperative that they have a solution to address their specific needs for quality, transparency and control," said James O'Connor, Commercial Director of Medialets EMEA. "Medialets uniquely approaches mobile with a premium mindset; its industry-leading offerings are backed by powerful technology and an exemplary team. I'm thrilled to be a part of the company's strategic growth."
