Horton Group's Lame Logo Re-Design Contest

We were looking for a great way to interact with the community by giving back creatively.

Horton Group has launched a logo re-design contest designed for companies and entrepreneurs to have the opportunity to give their brand a fresh look. Horton Group offers a variety of services in the marketing field that includes logo & graphic design, web development & web design, and social media marketing in addition to other brand enhancing services. This contest, anchored on the company’s facebook page, allows visitors to upload their logo onto Horton’s website including a few pertinent comments regarding their business, with the goal of being the one candidate selected for a free logo re-design.

The contest, running throughout the entire month of May, 2012, will be decided on a few different factors. Most importantly, the Nashville marketing agency will be looking for a logo that needs the most help. Additionally, they will be looking for companies with solid business goals and brands that have carried the same look for too many years.

Kristyn Wilcoxon, Horton Group’s Social Media Manager, said “We were looking for a great way to interact with the community by giving back creatively. Providing a promising business with something as imperative as a strong, identifiable logo helps them reach next levels in their branding. It’s also a great way to get their name out there and increase visibility to a business that will soon have a bold new image.”

Horton Group was founded in Nashville over 16 years ago and opened its doors as a web development & web design company. In the years since, the company has continued to expand now including all forms of marketing and advertising services including search engine optimization, media buying and content marketing.

Horton Group expects that this is the beginning of a stronger social media strategy moving forward. Horton team member, Isabel Ross, commented, “We hope other people in the community feel comfortable posting their thoughts even if they don’t submit a logo. We always appreciate the feedback and engagement.”
