On Tuesday, May 1, TheaterMania reported that the Broadway production of Theresa Rebeck's comedy "Seminar" will play its final performance at the John Golden Theatre on Sunday, May 6. As of that date, it will have played a total of 191 performances and 26 previews. The cast is currently headed by Jeff Goldblum as the brilliant and unorthodox writing teacher Leonard, and also features Zoe Lister-Jones, Justin Long, Jerry O'Connell and Hettienne Park. Sam Gold serves as director.
Additionally, Eric Simonson's "Magic/Bird" will play its final performance at the Longacre Theatre on May 12. Directed by Thomas Kail, "Magic/Bird" chronicles the rivalry, friendship, and intertwined life stories of NBA stars Johnson and Bird, and stars Kevin Daniels as Johnson and Tug Coker as Bird.
