COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – “On numerous trips out to San Diego and Coronado Island, I would sit on the beach and without even realizing it, this story just transpired,” explains author Lucy LeDoux. “I have always been an avid reader and now since retiring from teaching, I felt it was time to follow my dream and write my own novel.” It is a feat she has now accomplished, penning her new book, “Paper Boy” (published by iUniverse), a tale of murder and revenge.
“Paper Boy” is an entanglement of innocent victims, a woman who is seeking solace from the world, and an unrequited lover’s broken heart that leads him to murder.
Leaving the majestic Rocky Mountains, her husband and home, Frances was seeking solace in a dream job as a part-time landscaper and full-time author with a free place to live just one-half block from Coronado Beach. But just when all seemed perfect, she finds herself caught up in a deadly game that is perpetrated by a man who has been dead for over a year. The murderer is mesmerized with Frances and she becomes part of his deadly game—he delivers newspapers to an unsuspecting Frances with stories of his most recent murders.
“Paper Boy” is a quick read that allows readers to reminisce and wonder how their relationships have impacted their lives or the lives of others. LeDoux lets readers know that it is never too late to follow their dreams.
