Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 10, 2012
Beacon Strategies Group (BSG), a leading Boston-based public affairs consulting firm, announced today that it has been retained by the Dignity 2012 campaign to support the proposed ballot question. BSG will work with the leadership at Dignity 2012, and their coalition of supporting citizens and organizations, to advance the proposed Massachusetts Death with Dignity Act, which expands end-of-life care options for terminally ill patients.
Death with Dignity, which provides options for the dying to control their own end-of-life care, is expected to appear on the ballot this November. The Death with Dignity Act protects the right of qualified individuals to make voluntary and informed decisions in their last days. Dignity 2012 is leading the effort to advance the Death With Dignity Act through the legislature and onto the ballot.
“Beacon Strategies Group is pleased to be working on such an important issue," said BSG Principal, Michael Morris. "The leadership team at BSG has over 40 years of experience working in politics and government. Along with the talented group leading the Dignity 2012 campaign and the organization's extensive network of grassroots support, we are confident that we will be successful on the ballot this Fall."
"Beacon Strategies Group was the clear choice to help us advance the Death With Dignity ballot initiative," said Michael Clarke, Campaign Director for Dignity 2012. "We will be looking to BSG to help make key connections to the public and private sectors." BSG joins veteran media consultant, Steve Crawford of Crawford Strategies, who has led the campaign's communications strategy.
