Suffolk’s Red & Blue Foundation hopes to raise $100,000 to support the HomeSafe Organization

Suffolk Construction, announced its Sixth Annual “Grip It & Rip It” Golf Tournament to be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Doral Golf Resort in Miami, FL. The tournament is held annually to raise funds for a local charitable organization. In 2011, the tournament raised $110,000 which was split between HomeSafe and ABC Cares.

Suffolk is committed to giving back to the community and their Red & Blue Foundation supports local partnerships and signature programs throughout south Florida. This year, all proceeds from the tournament will be donated to HomeSafe, a charity committed to helping victims of child abuse and domestic violence. The event proceeds will be split between HomeSafe’s prevention and intervention programs and their capital campaign to build additional group homes. Annually, HomeSafe serves over 15,000 infants, children and families in South Florida.

The event begins promptly at 8:00 am and will include an 18-hole scramble tournament, carts, prizes and breakfast and lunch. Doral Golf Resort & Spa is home of the World Golf Classic and offers five championship golf courses.
