Custom metal fabrication company receives aerospace-industry standard certification.

"Everything we’ve done in the last year clearly demonstrates our commitment to growing and remaining competitive on a global scale." Brent Wortell - President

Triton Industries, Inc., one of the nation’s leading precision metal fabricators, has received AS 9100:C/ISO9001:2008 certification from Quality Systems Registrars (QSR) – an internationally-recognized independent auditor of industry regulations and aerospace management systems.

AS9100C certification is awarded following a comprehensive review of management systems and operations. These certification standards define the requirements for the aerospace and defense industry. It is published by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and widely regarded as the aerospace industry standard.

Since 1961, Triton Industries has been a premier supplier of custom-fabricated and stamped metal components to the medical, agricultural, security, oil and gas, gaming, food service and transportation industries. With this new certification, Triton will expand its range of services to the aerospace community.

“Triton can take a component from prototype to production in a matter of days,” states Triton Industries President Brent Wortell. “We have an in-house staff of experienced engineers and fabricators whose dedication to a precision, quality product exceeds the expectations of our current clientele and brings satisfaction and reliability to our new partners. (Triton) achieved our certification on the first inspection. There were no non-conformity issues, citations or exceptions. We’ve expanded our staff of skilled metal workers and upgraded our equipment to include the Amada FOM-2 laser – which is one of the world’s fastest cutting laser systems. Everything we’ve done in the last year clearly demonstrates our commitment to growing and remaining competitive on a global scale.”

Triton’s certification information is available on the Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) system. The OASIS database is managed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG). The IAQG is a cooperative of aerospace industry companies that jointly develop standards for high quality products. IAQG is comprised of the European Association of Aerospace Industries (AECMA), the SAE International and the Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies (SJAC).
