WheelsTV Announces 2012 POV of the Year Finalists

Top Pre-Owned Vehicles selected in six categories by WheelsTV's analysts and New England Motor Press Guild (NEMPA) writers.

The finalists for WheelsTV’s POV of the Year Award were selected by a judging panel made up of WheelsTV's automotive analysts and leading members of the New England Motor Press Guild in an evening meeting held at WheelsTV’s world headquarters in Acton, Massachusetts. On hand for NEMPA were Mark Horowitz, chair of the Newport Concours d’Elegance; radio host and writer for AAA John Paul; radio host John Zangari; Russ Rocknak, publisher of Mesh Magazine; Bill Griffith, auto writer for the Boston Globe; and George Kennedy, freelance writer for the Boston Globe and Hemmings. In attendance for WheelsTV were Jim Barisano, CEO; Lehel Reeves, President; Theresa Carlo, CFO; and Rich Taber, writer. Joining the meeting via videoconference was Collin Davis, CTO of WheelsTV who is based in WheelsTV’s Los Angeles office.

POV of the Year recognizes motor vehicles that have proven themselves in day-to-day use for at least two years by providing dependable, trouble-free service and good consumer value. This is the third year in which the POV of the Year Award has been presented. In 2010, the ‘07-‘10 Toyota Camry was selected. In 2011, the ’06-’09 Ford Fusion took top honors.

The recipient of the 2012 POV of the Year Award will be announced at the NEMPA Technology Conference on May 11, 2012 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
