ASTD Presents Excellence in Practice Awards to 18 Organizations

ASTD is the world's largest association dedicated to the training and development field.

The winning organizations demonstrate how learning increases the performance and success of organizations worldwide.

During its 2012 International Conference & Exposition held here, the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) presented the Excellence in Practice Awards and Citations to 61 organizations from 11 countries: Canada, China, India, Ireland, Israel, The Netherlands, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Vietnam.

The Excellence in Practice awards recognize organizations for results achieved through learning and development solutions. Out of 160 submissions, 19 awards and 63 citations were given in 10 categories: career development, diversity and inclusion, integrated talent management, learning technologies, managing change, organizational learning, performance improvement, training management, technical training, and workplace learning and development.

“The winning organizations demonstrate how learning increases the performance and success of organizations worldwide,” says Tony Bingham, ASTD President and CEO. “Their accomplishments advance the knowledge of the workplace learning and development profession and contribute to increasing workforce capability and organizational competitiveness.”
