When Phil Golding wrote his new book “Five Steps to Freedom: A Path to Inner Harmony and Personal Growth” (published by Balboa Press), he had over 20 years of his own personal development experience at his disposal.

“From the moment I embarked on my own self-awareness journey, I was on a mission to find the secret to healing the mind and unlocking its potential,” says Golding. “Suffering from chronic depression, my own mind needed healing, but I also had an innate thirst for knowledge.”

At the age of 24, Golding discovered, as he says, the essential elements or principles that unlocked the mystery behind sustained personal development and, ultimately, sustained contentment. Further exploration only served to reinforce his discovery.

“Whenever I witnessed people working and living together in peace and harmony, there again were those essential elements. In the depths of emotional healing and personal transformation, there they were again. Ever since my own recovery that set me on a life-long self-awareness journey, I have felt compelled to share this knowledge with others. From my personal and professional experience, I developed a 5 Step Process that enables those I help to apply this knowledge to their everyday lives.”

Golding, a counselor and psychotherapist by profession, understood the potential these five steps could have on unlocking human capabilities. “Sustainable fulfillment is about knowing how to fill yourself up on the inside, no matter what is happening around you,” says Golding. “‘Five Steps to Freedom’ contains the key ingredients for emotional healing, inner peace and self-confidence. It provides a clear pathway to achieving this ultimate goal.”

Golding hopes readers finish “Five Steps to Freedom” knowing “the reality of their fundamental worthiness and that the power to nurture themselves and to transform their lives is naturally within them and accessible to them.”
