That’s the Be Dog Happy philosophy, to be delighted with moments of the ordinary and predictable, just like our dogs.

“Don’t you just love how happy and carefree dogs are? Be Dog Happy is all about celebrating the simple things in life,” says founder Debbie Huntley. The idea resulted from the way Huntley saw her own dogs reacting to every day life, with excitement and enthusiasm for seemingly ordinary events. This philosophy inspired a new line of t-shirts, dog bandanas, stickers, tote bags and coffee mugs that will inspire and delight.
“The designs are inspired by my Golden Retrievers, Tucker, Fletcher and Grady,” says Huntley. “One morning, while watching the dogs playing together, it struck me that the simplest things make them happy - like a game of fetch, sniffing around, or daily walks at the park. It got me thinking, what if everyone could be happy like that? Happy with the routine aspects of life, typically thought of as the boring stuff. If people did, wouldn’t we feel better about life? That’s the Be Dog Happy philosophy, to be delighted with moments of the ordinary and predictable, just like our dogs.”
Based on the antics of Huntley’s dogs, Be Dog Happy has nine t-shirt designs, each with a story and a “dog lesson.” There’s the Party Crasher, a birthday themed t-shirt inspired by the time Tucker got into the birthday cake. Joyride because all three dogs love going for a car ride, no matter where the destination. One of the the more popular t-shirts is Tennis Ball Collector, based on Fletcher’s obsession with tennis balls and his unwillingness to share them. Other t-shirt designs include Unlikely Friends, Tunnel Vision, Sweet Dreams, Prized Possession and a holiday themed t-shirt, Joy to the Dog.
Be Dog Happy’s mission is to remind people to be happy - even with the routine aspects of life - just like our dogs.
