EB-5 investment experts Brian Su will address the latest EB-5 developments in Chinese and Korean investor market at a seminar in Texas on June 8, 2012.The seminar is to provide practical in-depth advice to EB-5 regional center executives and developers who are seeking investment capital from Chinese and Korean investors.

Over 80% EB-5 visas are issued to Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese nationals in this federal fiscal year. There is no double that more and more Chinese investors continue to be interested in investing through EB-5 regional centers. However worries and concerns are also rapidly growing at the time when EB-5 regional center program is to be near "sunset" by the end of September 2012.

Recent negative media coverage and online reports on specific EB-5 regional centers and projects as well as on-going lawsuits have caused major issues with Chinese emigration agencies and potential investors, such reports certainly worry investors who have already put their investment dollars in the projects under development. "The 2012 Emigration Industry Summit" held by Beijing Exit & Entry Services Association again warned its members to take additional caution when promoting EB-5 projects to Chinese clients. Massive web attack (through mainstream Chinese online and social media) on a number of EB-5 projects (and/or regional centers) as well as its promoters are causing more confusion. For instance, one EB-5 project has been attacked by hundreds of negative and fact-twisting reports on major Chinese internet portals. Though Regional Centers under attack have issued and released official statements, investors are not very much convinced. The tenant occupancy issues definitely make situation even harder for Chinese emigration agents and investors to handle, it simply adds more fuel to the fire.
