We work together as a family to provide you with the highest quality services in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Style-A-Thon will be held at The Canyon Salon in Westlake Village from 12-6pm in honor of the owner Sharon Perry who is suffering from Pancreatic Cancer herself. The community and public are invited to walk in without an appointment, for cut, blow dry, waxing and nail services at the high end salon, where the services will be drastically discounted. A large portion of the proceeds will be going to The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

The Canyon Salon is located in Westlake Village, CA. The 5,000 square foot full service salon has 31 hair stations, 3 manicure tables, 2 pedicure chairs, a facial treatment room and a full service makeup bar. On it's website The Canyon Salon states " We work together as a family to provide you with the highest quality services in a warm and friendly atmosphere." Salon Today Magazine chose it as second runner up in the Salons of the Year 2011 contest.

Sharon Perry, a Westlake Village hairstylist and owner of The Canyon Salon, began her career 30 years ago in the same spot where The Canyon Salon sits today. When she opened her first salon in 2003, she was committed to offering guests an upscale salon experience driven by a well-educated
and innovative staff. Her success and growth resulted in the 2010 opening of The Canyon Salon in the Paseo Marketplace in Westlake Village. In May of 2011, Sharon Perry was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Her staff of over 50 stylists have walked or run in several of the Pancreatic Cancer Research's 5 and 10k events to raise money.

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related deaths around the world. Pancreatic cancer is sometimes called a "silent killer" because in the early stages there are often no symptoms. As a result pancreatic cancer is often not diagnosed until it is advanced.

The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research was founded in 1997. It is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing pancreatic cancer research, and providing information, resources and support to pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
