Washington D.C. (PRWEB) May 06, 2012
The expertise of Dr. Lawrence Singer - dentist to Monique Thompkins, Miss DC USA - have given the Washington Redskins Cheerleader even greater reason to smile as she enters Miss USA 2012.
Dr. Singer, of DC Smiles, has enhanced Monique’s stunning smile as part of his role as the official dentist of the Redskins Cheerleaders, a position he’s held for 12 years, which already helped her claim the title Miss DC USA. Proud to continue improving her smile with plastic surgery of the gums, he’s also improving Monique’s chances of picking up the coveted title Miss USA 2012 at the Las Vegas-based pageant on June 3.
The nation’s eyes will be on Monique, and her pearly whites, when she takes the stage at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, screened live on NBC at 9 p.m. EST. The 23-year-old Washington native is the first Redskins Cheerleader to win Miss DC USA and has followed a passion for dance from a young age. She honed her skills during high school at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Georgetown, and developed her prowess with a partial scholarship at the University of the Arts, majoring in dance and particularly Jazz Dance Performance. While at UArts, Monique founded the community service organization Ladies of Service in 2010, helping her earn the Student Leader of the Year award that year. She now works in Federal Law Enforcement as an Investigative Research Specialist for the Department of Health and Human Services.
“Without a doubt Monique has an infectious smile with a warmth that reflects her nature. She’s perfectly suited to her roles as Redskins Cheerleader and Miss DC USA, and I really believe she’ll catch the judges’ eyes among the bright lights of Las Vegas at Miss USA,” comments Dr. Singer.
