DB Networks, an innovator of database security equipment, today announced the appointments of key executives as it prepares for a third quarter launch of its Adaptive Database Firewall product as an effective countermeasure against SQL Injection and database Denial of Service attacks. The three appointments include Michael Sabo as Vice President of Marketing, Roger Shanafelt as Vice President of Sales, and Bob DeWolfe as Region Vice President.

Michael Sabo is responsible for DB Networks marketing strategy and communications initiatives. Mr. Sabo joins DB Networks with more than 30 years of technical and strategic marketing experience. Most recently he was in strategic product planning at Intel. Prior to Intel, he held senior marketing positions at AirFiber, Rhythms NetConnections, and US West.
Roger Shanafelt brings more than 25 years of experience in senior sales positions. Prior to DB Networks, Mr. Shanafelt was VP of Sales at TalentSpring. Mr. Shanafelt has served in a variety senior sales management and marketing positions for leading technology companies including Mercent, PowerTech (Now Help/Systems), DocuSign, Myrio - A Siemens Company, Loudcloud, Exodus Communications and Excite@Home Corporation.
Bob DeWolfe has an extensive background in sales and sales management including 15 years with HP, Sun, and Intel. Bob's start-up company experience includes executive sales positions at IPivot, and Tarari.
