Christopher S. Thrutchley will join the Tulsa office of Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson, L.L.P., on Monday, May 7. Doerner Saunders is a full-service business and commercial law firm that also has offices in Oklahoma City and Norman. Thrutchley’s areas of practice include labor and employment law.
“Chris’ expertise in HR issues spans the entire talent management lifecycle and ranges from counseling leaders on best practices for minimizing labor and employment risk, investigating employee complaints, and representing and defending companies before state and federal agencies and courts, to training professionals on various labor and employment matters, to actually serving as HR director for a Tulsa employer,” said William F. Thrutchley has been certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and is a former director of human resources for one of Tulsa’s largest unionized employers. He has served in several leadership positions for the Tulsa Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinators’ Association and the Tulsa Area Human Resources Association. He also is a former chairperson of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and is a former director of the OBA Young Lawyers Division.
Thrutchley graduated from The University of Tulsa College of Law with highest honors. While in law school, he served as editor-in-chief of the Tulsa Law Review. He also was inducted into the Order of the Curule Chair, the school’s most significant honor.
Thrutchley frequently lectures and publishes writings on various labor and employment law topics, including developing employee handbooks and other tools to address HR needs.
