In a unique blending of St Helena Hospital’s rich history and its current standing as the Nation’s great Orthopedic Hospitals, golfers are invited to join PGA legend Johnny Miller alongside national sponsors and celebrity participants to raise funds for cardiovascular education programs. The tournament will take place on Wednesday, May 23rd at 11:30 am. Hallmark activities in the tournament include an exclusive “Golf Skills Clinic”, hosted by Miller along with traditional tournament activities, contests, hospitality and prizes.
Johnny Miller is well-known within the golf world, having been ranked as one of its top champions with spectacular victories at the 1973 US Open, and a string of 12 tournament wins in 1974-75. Inducted into the World Golf Hall Of Fame in1998, Miller now holds the role as lead golf analyst for NBC Sports, as well as being an active and successful golf course architect. Mr. Miller is a long-time supporter of St Helena Hospital, having benefitted as recently as 2011 from orthopedic care received at St Helena Hospital by acclaimed Sports Medicine and Orthopedic specialist Dr. Stephen Franzino.
“It’s the generosity of our neighbors, including through events like this, that established St. Helena Hospital's Heart Institute as one of the best in the North Bay area”, says Chuck Adams, Director Cardiovascular Service Line. “We offer the best cardiac services in the region, and with these educational funds, we can save more lives than ever.”
