Burning Tree, a long term drug treatment center, has launched an alumni relations.

Burning Tree, a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Texas, is expanding its efforts in alumni relations in order to create a more unified and stronger post-recovery community. The naming of Dirk Lemasters as Director of Alumni Services and the creation of an alumni program are key parts of strengthening the Burning Tree connection for those who have successfully completed the program. With a success rate of 73 percent, based on a four-year study of Burning Tree, the number of alumni who are maintaining sobriety years after completing the program is growing and their continued success in recovery is a high priority for the organization.

Dirk Lemasters joined the organization three years ago as Operations Manager at Burning Tree Ranch in Kaufman, Texas before transitioning to the business development team. His extensive management and marketing experience will help generate effective ways of reaching out to alumni with additional support and resources, initiating events and activities that draw alumni together online and in person, and incorporating the success of alumni into Burning Tree messages across several platforms, such as testimonial videos and social media sites.

Providing alumni with more means of celebrating freedom from addiction will involve the creation of online destinations to share news, anniversaries and events, such as the alumni reunion scheduled for Saturday October 20, 2012. The fun and fellowship of these events, hosted at the Burning Tree Ranch, allow current program participants, staff and counselors to witness the results of a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. For those unable to make the trip to North Texas, guidance in creating regional Burning Tree chapters will be available.

With treatment available for people from the 48 contiguous states, strengthening alumni relations will be a coast-to-coast endeavor for Burning Tree.
