Bargen to Oversee Technology Vision and Implementation of Sircle Product Suite

Sircle™ Advertising, a startup intent on bringing product sampling into the digital era, today announced the hiring of product development veteran Bradley Bargen. Bargen comes to Sircle Advertising from Nuance Communications (NUAN), where he served for five years as a Vice President of Product Development in Nuance’s mobile software business unit.

“Brad is a powerful presence. He possesses a rare blend of engineering savvy and business acumen, as well as a background that includes systems engineering, big data analytics, game development, and of course mobile product development. His ability to deliver is exactly what Sircle has been looking for to drive our company forward,” said Cindy Engstrom, CEO of Sircle Advertising.

During his Nuance tenure, Bargen led the product development team responsible for shipping core technology components on billions of mobile devices worldwide, strengthened and diversified the product team with a half dozen successful acquisitions, and reshaped the mobile product line to address the rapidly blossoming smart phone market and incorporate a broader range of Nuance technologies. A tech veteran, Bargen also authored Inside DirectX, a book about the eponymous gaming platform, during his time at Microsoft.

Engstrom had invited Bargen to found the company with her, but the timing to depart Nuance wasn’t right for him until recently. “It has been tough to say goodbye to the hardworking, innovative team at Nuance,” said Bargen. “I enjoyed my time there and learned a tremendous amount, but it was impossible to pass up a role that was such a perfect fit. The opportunity to help Sircle drive innovation where consumer technology, advertising and retail intersect is an exciting space to be in.”

As Chief Product Officer, Bargen will lead the technology vision and implementation of Sircle Advertising’s campaign management and analytic tools, web properties, and mobile applications.

Sircle Advertising reunites Engstrom, Bargen and Dianne Dominguez, the company’s Chief Design Officer, since their last joint tours at Wildseed, a startup that built a pre iPhone smartphone with interactive accessories. Wildseed was acquired by AOL.
