Hunt Companies Appoints General Counsel

Newly created role signals growth and diversification for leading real estate developer, investor, manager.

Hunt Companies, Inc., today announced that Kara Harchuck has joined the Company, serving in the newly-created role of Executive Vice President, General Counsel. The announcement was made by Woody Hunt, Chairman and CEO.

Prior to joining Hunt Companies, Ms. Harchuck represented a wide spectrum of real estate clients including institutional lenders and investors, developers, public companies and real estate funds in her role as a real estate attorney at Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago, Illinois. In her new role, Ms. Harchuck will lead the legal services department for Hunt Companies. She will be based in the company’s Chicago office.

“We are pleased to have Kara join Hunt Companies,” said Woody Hunt. “Kara joins us with experience in real estate law as well as having grown up in a family-owned construction business. She brings a broad perspective that lends itself perfectly to Hunt’s diversified portfolio.”

Ms. Harchuck received her Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Allegheny College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
