Market Access Provider Delivers Innovative Real Time HEOR Observational Data Registries.

TechCapital Group, Life Science Unit has acquired iHealthEcon, a health economics solutions company that helps life sciences organizations plan, develop and advocate health economics to global payers through e-registry-suite.

iHealthEcon through e-registry, offers its clients an innovative suite of decision support tools to advance market access by improving the speed and efficiency of collecting HEOR registry data in real time to National Health Systems (NHS). “The opportunity to prospectively collect real-world data on HEOR variables such as safety, HRQoL, satisfaction, resource utilization, costs, work loss, productivity are examples of new emphasis placed on Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) variables by regional payers and national health systems”, says James Flemings, M.D., Chief Medical Director, TechCapital Group, Life Science Unit & Value Solutions.

TechCapital Group, Life Science Unit will integrate its market-leading health outcomes data assets with iHealthEcon’s advanced optimization e-registry and predictive analytics solution suite.

This combination will enable brand managers and manage care personnel at life science companies to improve contracting with national health systems by supporting value dossiers with optimized comparative effectiveness and real world outcomes data from live e-registries. For the first time, decisions based on real-world data and benchmarks will be populated in real time seamlessly directly to payer stakeholders.

“Today, linking real world clinical data and patient outcomes to comparative effectiveness research (CER) is inefficient due to hurdles integrating decision support modules in real-time. This lack of real world data to support comparative effectiveness are impacting adverse coverage determinations on a global scale,” says Thomas J. Haenggi, senior vice president, TechCapital Group, Life Science Unit & Value Solutions. “Approximately 90 percent of adverse coverage determinations from national health plans are due to limited real world clinical data registries or managed care claims data-sets. Through this acquisition, we will enhance market access productivity – transforming the way manage markets communicates economic value through patient e-registries to the insurance industry, p&t committees and payer stakeholders.”
