Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) May 07, 2012
Century Bank is sponsoring the 29th Annual Super Scholars Awards Ceremony to be held on May 8, 2012 at the beautiful Bishop’s Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa. Honorary guest speaker will be Hanna Skandera, secretary-designate of Education, New Mexico Public Education Department. Century Bank is a ‘Featured Business’ on SantaFe.com.
The Super Scholars Awards Ceremony honors top graduating seniors from high schools in Santa Fe. A Super Scholar is a graduating student who scores 26 or above on the ACT tests (or SAT equivalent) and are among the top 10% of their class. Students who fit the criteria, in turn, recognize and honor a teacher who has had a positive influence on their academic achievements. All in all, this event honors excellence in education – from the teacher who made a difference to the student who benefits for a lifetime.
Bryan “Chip” Chippeaux, chairman of the board of Century Bank, says, "The Super Scholars program celebrates the academic achievements of these young adults. In addition, a wonderful part of the program is the recognition of the teachers that these students selected as those making a difference in their lives. We are extremely proud to support and sponsor this event.”
