May marks the beginning of the Adirondack golfing season. With 13 courses in the Lake Placid region, including five signature championship courses, a golfing vacation to Lake Placid is not your average outing. Enjoy striking scenery, test your skills on challenging layouts and take advantage of Lake Placid golf packages for additional savings on rounds at area courses and lodging throughout the summer.

The Saranac Inn Golf and Country Club Three Days Unlimited Golf with Cart Package is available from May 11 to May 31. The package includes three days of unlimited golf and cart with two nights of lodging and breakfast for $250, excluding tax. (518-891-1402)

The Placid Bay Inn on Lake Placid Early Birdie Golf Package from May 5 to June 17 includes 18 holes with cart at the Whiteface Club or Craig Wood Golf Club. The package costs $85 to $95 per person, per day, based on double occupancy. (518-523-2001)

The Golden Arrow Summer Eagle Golf Package is available June 17 to August 24 and includes one night of lodging and 18 holes with cart at either The Whiteface Club or Craig Wood Golf Club. The package costs $129 per person based on double occupancy or $199 total based on single occupancy. Not available for Friday or Saturday arrival. (518- 523-3353)

Lake Placid region golf ranges from unique nine-hole courses, to executive-length holes on championship 18-hole courses.
