GridIron® Systems, a pioneer in Big Data acceleration, will showcase OneAppliance™, a comprehensive suite of data storage and compute solutions designed especially for accelerating Big Data analytics, at PASS SQLRally in Dallas, Texas this week. IT professionals at the event will have the opportunity to see how OneAppliance can transparently accelerate existing data infrastructures and expand production, test and development environments, including Data Marts. Using OneAppliance solutions, applications based on SQL Server can deliver data to more concurrent users at optimal speeds. This allows organizations to increase productivity even as they reduce the cost, complexity and footprint of their IT infrastructure for structured, unstructured and mixed data.
OneAppliance solutions integrate high performance Flash and unique software that analyzes data access workload and quantization in ready-to-deploy appliances that address the needs of Big Data, cloud and virtualized environments. As databases get larger and servers get faster, applications demand faster, highly concurrent access to data that traditional storage cannot deliver. GridIron OneAppliance offerings deliver up to twenty times the bandwidth of even the fastest Flash solutions available today and can reduce space and power consumption by up to 60% while reducing the total cost of ownership by 75%.
PASS SQLRally attendees will have the opportunity to check out the OneAppliance suite and consider which models are best suited to helping them achieve their goals. OneAppliance TurboCharger has already proven successful across 10 different industry verticals in transparently accelerating applications in SAN environments as much as 10 times by reducing read workload by more than 90%. The recently-announced OneAppliance FlashCube™ and iNode™ systems for Microsoft SQL server will be available for customer evaluations later this month.
The FlashCube is the first ultra-high bandwidth unified data store for aggregate read and write performance. It delivers industry-leading performance and bandwidth, with 1 million Input/Output operations per second (IOPS), bandwidth in excess of 10 Gigabytes per second (GB/s) and 25 to 100 terabytes (TB) of Flash capacity. It is ideally suited for Microsoft Fast Track Data Warehouse and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) Cubes.
The iNode is the first system that integrates high-performance compute with a high-bandwidth memory-speed Flash data store, offering 40 cores with 2-way hyper-threading with up to 1 TB of Random Access Memory and 100 TB of Flash that is capable of 1.5 million IOPS and 20 GB/s bandwidth. It can simplify and consolidate sprawling clusters of storage and servers and is designed for data marts, data warehouses, OLAP, and Enterprise Resource Planning environments. Furthermore, by incorporating all aspects of sever/network/expanded memory/flash for temp and cache in one simple-to-deploy appliance, the iNODE simplifies projects by speeding up database deployments.
The OneAppliance TurboCharger, FlashCube and iNode will be showcased at PASS SQLRally 2012 on May 10th and 11th. Additional information about OneAppliance solutions is available online at http://www.gridironsystems.com
