EMS Consulting Group, Inc. has just announced a Lean Manufacturing Certification program to take place in San Diego, CA on July 17-19, 2012. This program includes 3 consecutive days of hands-on training including team activities, simulation, and videos. The program also includes supplemental online training that covers additional topics that are part of the body of knowledge required for the certification.
Participants will learn how to apply each of the principles and tools of lean including A-3 Problem Solving/PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow Manufacturing Cells, Mistake Proofing, Kanban and Pull systems, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance, Quick Changeover, and Kaizen Event facilitation. Lean Certification also requires participants to complete lean manufacturing projects at their own companies to reinforce the classroom learning.
"Last year we added this program to accommodate those who wanted to limit travel but did not want an online lean certification program," said Darren Dolcemascolo, Sr. Partner with EMS Consulting Group, Inc. "The blended learning 3-day Lean Certification program has been very well received; after having taken the program, several attendees have asked that we bring it on-site to their facilities."
The program will take place at the Hilton San Diego Airport Harbor Island on July 17-19, 2012. The hotel is located on the scenic waterfront of Harbor Island, just minutes from downtown San Diego and San Diego International Airport. The Lean Certification program cost is $1595 for those who register by June 17th and $1695 after that date.
