Actor Shavar Ross, who played Gary Coleman’s best friend Dudley on television’s Diff’rent Strokes from 1980 until the show’s last episode in 1986, has created the first website dedicated to his on and off screen pal, the late Gary Coleman.
Ross says he created the site for Gary because he was surprised no one else had done it. “I was baffled I couldn’t find a dedicated fansite for Gary,” says Ross. “I’ve always been a fan of Gary’s even though I played his best friend on TV. I have my own blog and love blogging so I thought Gary deserved his own fansite as well.”
GaryColeman.net was launched just four weeks ago and already has video, pictures, memorabilia, and a variety of facts about Gary. Ross says he and his company, Tri-Seven Entertainment put the site together. “Gary had ups and downs during his life, just like we all do, however, no one can ever deny his talent or the laughter and joy that he brought to people’s hearts over the years,” says the former child actor Ross.
Ross says it will take him several more months to complete the site but fans of Gary can visit and enjoy the site now. “The site is positive but I want to be as thorough and factual as I can when it comes to Gary’s life. Gary had a complicated and very public life. Hopefully through the site they’ll see that even though Gary’s life and career was tumultuous, he was still a man who loved, and cared and smiled a lot.
