The plaintiff sustained cervical strain, rotator cuff impingement syndrome, post-traumatic stress syndrome and headaches. Damage to plaintiff’s car was $10,653.46. This case, which was filed in Plymouth Superior Court, C.A. No.: PLCV2010-01223 B, involved a 2 car collision that occurred on June 13, 2008 in Freetown, Massachusetts.    The defendant abruptly turned across the path of the plaintiff causing the collision as the defendant attempted to enter the lot of a gas station. The plaintiff was traveling at approximately 25mph at the moment of the collision. The plaintiff was not wearing her seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. The plaintiff’s car sustained $10,653.46 in property damage.

Discovery filed in the Plymouth Superior Court case indicated that the plaintiff sustained soft tissue injury to her neck and back. She suffered injury to her left rotator cuff, headaches, syncope, dizziness and post-traumatic stress syndrome with accompanying depression and anxiety.

The Freetown Police Report and Fire and Rescue records confirm that on the day of the accident, police and ambulance arrived at the scene and transported the plaintiff to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. The records from that hospital state that the plaintiff complained of neck and lower back pain. At the hospital, x-rays revealed spur formation of C6 and C7 foramina on the left. The diagnoses were head injury and cervical strain.

Thereafter medical records obtained through discovery in the case revealed that the plaintiff sought treatment for her injuries through the end of 2011. The plaintiff sought medical treatment with various medical providers including her primary care physician, physical therapist, neurologist, chiropractor, orthopedic specialist and psychologist.
