Forrester Research’s April 2012 report, “SMB eCommerce Solutions 2012,” cites Ignify eCommerce in its research as one of the solutions that small and medium-size businesses should consider when selecting an e-commerce system.
The Forrester Research report serves to equip small and medium-size companies with more information on e-commerce systems to enable them to make better informed decisions regarding the solution that would best meet their organizations’ needs. Forrester surveyed the capabilities and offerings of 29 Business-to-Consumer (B2C) e-commerce platform providers in North America and Europe that focus to a significant extent on serving SMB (Small and Medium-size Businesses) online retailers across North America and Europe.
Ignify eCommerce met the following Forrester criteria for evaluation: providing eCommerce solutions to small or medium-size businesses; providing a comprehensive tool set for SMBs selling direct-to-consumer online; and serving North American and/or European markets.
In regards to selling a comprehensive tool set for SMBs selling direct-to-consumer online, the vendor had to provide technology and services aimed at retailers, branded manufacturers, digital goods publishers, and other businesses selling direct to consumer online (which may include web, mobile, and web services-based interfaces to support transactions, and may also include other services such as fulfillment, customer service tools, marketing tools, payment services, and creative services).
Ignify eCommerce fulfilled the standards set out by Forrester in that it serves a global market of both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) companies in the apparel, office supply, furniture, sports, and consumer goods industries. Ignify also provides choice in pricing models, offering both Software-as-a Service (SaaS) and licensed options, which means that a company can either purchase software outright or on a monthly subscription fee based on revenue. Professional services are also priced on a per-project basis.
“Forrester Research is a respected voice in the business community, and Ignify is glad to have our e-commerce solution surveyed and listed in this important publication,” said Sandeep Walia, CEO of Ignify. “We strive to provide an easily scalable e-commerce platform that fulfills the most pressing needs of B2B and B2C customers in all different sizes and industries.”
