iTunes U Offers Runway Show, Featuring Collections by Students from Fashion School FIDM

The only show of its kind on the West Coast, DEBUT features the designs of graduating students in FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising’s Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design Advanced Study Programs. Video clips from the exciting show are now available to watch, for free, via iTunes U.

The only show of its kind on the West Coast, DEBUT annually attracts more than 10,000 people over a three-day period. Featuring designs by graduating students in FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising’s Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design Advanced Study Programs as well as work from the Interior Design and Textile Design Students, FIDM’s runway show event is one of the hottest tickets in town.

Now, thanks to iTunes U, video clips from the exciting show are available to watch at no cost to fashion fans. In addition to viewing the runway collections, viewers will have the chance to hear from the individual designers and learn about their backgrounds and inspirations. DEBUT is held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. In addition to the industry, high school students from around the country, friends and family of the graduating students, fellow FIDM Students, and FIDM Staff and Faculty attend the runway show. A special invitation-only pre-party is attended by high school students who are members of official FIDM High School Fashion Clubs and features celebrity guests, eyelash bars, and a DJ.
