Healthline Networks, one of the largest and fastest-growing providers of health information services, today announced it hired Irene McGee as director of marketing for She is responsible for positioning and marketing across a variety of channels, including paid and organic search, social, and direct marketing.

Prior to Healthline, McGee was the co-founder and editor of FYI Living, a health and wellness news website dedicated to debunking false health information. FYI Living turned peer-reviewed research studies into simple to understand summaries. McGee oversaw a writing team of 50 medical writers, science writers, and nutritionists; managed the production of more than 2,000 articles; and optimized all content for SEO and social media. Before starting FYI Living, McGee served as a creative consultant for various web companies to help with brand positioning, strategic partnerships, content development, and more.

McGee started her career in media. She produced and hosted various talk radio and web shows. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in broadcast communication from San Francisco State University.
