There comes a time in everyone’s life when trials and tribulations are seem too great to handle and extremely formidable to overcome. But is there an instrument greater than anything else to help anyone beat these odds? Rendering a beautiful, heartfelt, touching, and inspiring tribute for her late husband and to God, author Geneva George shares how she overcame and got through all her unbearably difficult trials—with God as her comfort, encouragement, and strength—in Lord, Hide Me!

“I felt compelled to write this book with the hope that it will inspire others who are going through difficult trials. God is real and He is a God who will keep us when life seems unbearable. I found in him comfort, encouragement and strength. I wish the same for all who may read this book,” says the author.

In this brief memoir, she describes how she met her husband—her best friend, high school sweetheart, and caretaker; the years before and during their marriage; her husband’s medical ordeal—heart, lung, and kidney problems, surgery, hospitalization, and treatment; and her husband’s peaceful final moments. It was a hard and heartbreaking journey, but a spiritually fulfilling one for her and her family.

Available in trade paperback and Ebook formats, Lord, Hide Me! will be featured at the New England Library Association Book Exhibit in Burlington, Vt. on Oct. 2-4, 2011.

About the Author
Geneva George grew up in Alabama with a loving mother and father and 12 siblings. She was sixth of 13 children. They were not rich in possessions but their love for one another kept them strong. She is most proud of her senior year in high school; it was during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s where people were marching all over the States. She immediately became a participant although marching landed her in jail for a month just for trying to get her mother to vote. This was her most memorable time. She always had a soft spot for the elderly and the less fortunate. This is why she takes being a licensed Missionary very serious. She has been licensed for more than 20 years.
