Boulder, CO. (PRWEB) May 15, 2012
Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) will host a complimentary Webinar entitled "The Rise of Data-Driven Security." If any aspect of the business needs insight today, it is security. IT security faces challenges as never before. At one end of the spectrum, industrialized exploits hammer organizations with a volume and frequency of attacks that only a few short years ago would have been unimaginable. At the other end, targeted attacks have awakened enterprises to the probability that penetration is more likely than ever. This Webinar is designed to teach organizations how they can cope with these realities, manage their efforts successfully, and meet their obligations to the business.
Additionally, findings from a new EMA research study of 200 enterprises worldwide will be discussed. Some of the research reveals:
-In the enterprise: Harnessing Big Data for security: 28% of those surveyed reported that they were actively investigating technologies such as Hadoop for security data management, while half (50%) already employ enterprise data warehouse technology in the service of security.
-For organizations of all sizes: Data-driven techniques that are reshaping the nature of defense: Nearly half of all respondents expect vendors and service providers to lead the way in putting data-driven security to work for all their customers.
-New opportunities for data sources, new platforms for security data management and analysis, and the nature of expertise required to meet the demand: 78% of survey respondents are either expanding or planning to expand their investment in security data management technology. A similar number (76%) plan to expand their investment in expertise.
