Each year, our members support Habitat for Humanity with generosity that exceeds our expectations
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) May 14, 2012
The members of the Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) contributed more than $3,000 to the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami during their 2012 Annual Conference. Through direct donations and purchasing ‘themed’ accessories for CHPA’s awards event for industry excellence, members continue to support this worthy cause.
“Each year, our members support Habitat for Humanity with generosity that exceeds our expectations,” says CHPA’s CEO, Mary Ann Passi, CAE. “CHPA member companies are extremely philanthropic everywhere they operate – from housing wounded warrior families and national disaster victims to funding underprivileged children’s programs to supporting employees’ passionate personal causes throughout North America. They inspired CHPA to reflect this spirit, integrating a charitable component to our annual meeting and an Association award for the Best Community Program.”
Habitat for Humanity is CHPA’s charity of choice, because members deal with housing professionally every day. CHPA is proud to support an organization that is dedicated to assisting families with affordable, sufficient housing. Each year, CHPA supports a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate in the area of the CHPA Annual Conference.
“This collaboration with Habitat for Humanity shows member’s dedication to serving more than their own communities - but also those across the country,” adds Passi. “We create a unique opportunity each year for members to get involved and give back to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.”
CHPA members will converge on Phoenix, Arizona next year and work with the local Habitat for Humanity chapter to determine how to make the biggest impact for their area. Through various onsite activities at the CHPA Annual Conference and direct donations, CHPA members have generously donated over $28,000 in just four years to this worthy cause in Myrtle Beach, San Diego, Houston and Miami.
CHPA is the only trade association dedicated exclusively to the corporate housing industry. The association continually strives to uphold the highest standards in business and professionalism; provide valuable insight, knowledge and resources to the industry; and increase visibility among related industries. Along with networking, education, certification, and information sharing, CHPA members grow their business and expand their reach through an international network of partners.
