Set forth on a fun, magical path that leads to exciting new realms. Experience fantastic, real-life tales about how dreams became realities for a group of friends in “1, 2, 3 Your Wish Is Granted!” (published by Balboa Press), the new book written by an author simply known as Genie.

Taking a departure from the stereotypical idea of genies that has been around for centuries – think Arabian Nights – “1, 2, 3 Your Wish Is Granted!” documents the experiences of 20 friends who gathered in a small house in Hollywood, Calif., in December 1995. The group had assembled to share Christmas dinner together and give thanks for the wishes that had been granted by a modern-day, real-life genie who had appeared in each of their lives.

“I am a genie,” the author writes. “You may wonder what that really means and how I come to write this little book. Well, first of all, I am not from or of your world. I live in a dimension of fire and light. I am basically a fire spirit. Just so you know, we genies are alive. We don’t experience life as you do, but we are living, thinking creatures.”

“1, 2, 3 Your Wish Is Granted!” has a unique genesis, and Genie gives due credit for the opportunity to share the stories of the people whose wishes he’s granted. “Genie contacted Max the human and made a trade ... Genie would grant wishes in exchange for Max typing the story in his computer.” Most of the people Genie interacted with, Max included, were incredulous at first, but when their wishes began to be fulfilled, they slowly began to believe in the Genie’s magic.

In a world where skepticism prevails and the general population would scoff at the idea of a genie appearing to grant wishes, “1, 2, 3 Your Wish Is Granted!” is a refreshing, whimsical, funny collection of stories that will remind readers to look for the magic that exists all around them.

About the Author
This book would not have been possible without the help of Genie’s friend, Max, a sometimes writer, actor and singer (aka Hollywood restaurant manager) who was visited by Genie in his Hollywood apartment.
